Privacy Policy
JBIS Connect and JBPS Connect · Effective 15 October 2026
This policy explains what information the JBIS Connect and JBPS Connect apps use, why, and the choices you have. Both apps are published on Google Play under the developer name J B School.
1. Who we are
Each app is the official app of its school:
Tilda-Kharora Road, Village - Sirve
Tilda-Neora, 493114
Distt - Raipur (C.G.)
School Helpline: 7471128000
Vrindavan Colony
High School Road, Tilda-Neora, Distt-Raipur
Chhattisgarh 493114
School Helpline: 9993305000
Each school is responsible for the information about its own students and staff.
2. Who the apps are for
The apps are for parents and guardians of students at the two schools, and for the schools' teachers and staff. They are not meant for children to use. There is no public sign-up: a parent can only register with a code issued by the school, and staff only with access the school has given them.
3. School records the app shows you
The app displays records the school already keeps for its students. For a parent, these are their own children's records only:
- Name, class, section, admission number and photo
- Attendance, exam marks and results, homework and the exam timetable
- Fee details, balances and receipts
- School notices, events, holidays and leave records
Teachers see the records of the classes they are allowed to see.
4. Information the app collects
- Registration code: the code the school gives you, used once to link the app to your family.
- Device identifier: a number that identifies your phone to the school, so each family can use only a set number of phones and a lost phone can be removed.
- Notification token: needed to send school notifications to your phone, through Google Firebase Cloud Messaging.
- App activity: the date the app was last opened, and whether a school notification (for example a fee reminder) was opened. The school uses this to know its messages are reaching families.
- What you choose to send: leave applications with any photo or PDF you attach, feedback messages, and requests to reset sign-in. Staff also send notices, photos, PDFs and class information.
Your PIN and fingerprint stay on your phone. The fingerprint is checked by your phone's own system. The school never receives it, and never receives your PIN.
5. What we do not do
- No advertising, and no advertising ID
- No location, contacts, call logs or messages are read
- The app only sees a photo or file that you pick yourself; it does not browse your gallery
- We do not sell or rent your information, or share it for marketing
6. Where the information is kept, and who helps us
- Google: school records and app data are stored in the school's Google account (Google Sheets, Google Drive and Apps Script) on Google's servers.
- Google Firebase Cloud Messaging: delivers notifications to your phone.
- Google Gemini: the school may use Google's AI service to tidy homework messages, and, when the school turns the feature on, to draft a progress note. For a progress note, only marks, attendance and teachers' remarks are sent. The child's name, photo, family details and fees are not sent.
Information is sent between the app and the school over encrypted (HTTPS) connections.
7. Fee payments
To pay a fee, the app opens your own UPI app (for example Google Pay, PhonePe or Paytm). The payment happens there. The school app never sees or stores your bank, card or UPI PIN details.
8. How long we keep it
School records are kept for as long as the student is enrolled, and afterwards as long as the law requires for school records. A phone's link to a family is removed when the family signs out, when the school releases it, or when it has not been used for a long time.
9. Deleting your JBIS Connect or JBPS Connect account and data
To ask for your app account and its data to be deleted:
- Email connect@jb-group.org, or call your school's helpline (JBIS 7471128000, JBPS 9993305000), or visit the school office.
- Say "Please delete my app account" and give the student's name, class, admission number and school.
- The school confirms it is you (by calling the mobile number registered with the school), and then deletes the account within 30 days.
What is deleted: your registration and every phone linked to it, notification tokens, app activity (last opened, notifications opened), your feedback messages, and the photos or PDFs you attached to leave applications.
What is kept: the student's school record (admission, attendance, marks, fees and receipts, and leave decisions) is not part of the app account. The school keeps it for as long as the law requires for school records.
You can also sign out of the app, or uninstall it, at any time. To correct a wrong detail in a record, please contact the school office.
